ST-9012 is a 6-string electric acoustic parlor guitar with a built-in Santana MG30 microphone system. The microphone system offers you the opportunity to plug the guitar directly into an amp or recording devices.

The parlor is compact and elongated, with the overall length being petite compared to other body styles. The style retains a conventional nut width, making them ideal for all playing styles, from fingerstyle to strumming. Parlors are known for their “boxy” sound that traditional players likes. It appeals to slide, folk and blues players in particular.

ST-9012 is an acoustic guitar that belongs in Santana’s Bonfire series. Bonfire is a Danish designed guitar series, where in design and construction emphasis has been placed on making the guitar suitable for the easy-to-practice or beginning guitarist.

Both amplified and purely acoustic, the Santana ST-9012 delivers a well-balanced and focused tone. Tonally the emphasis on the mid-range and bass is less.

Quality materials

The ST-9012 is built with a solid spruce deck and the back and sides are made of mahogany. The main advantage of using solid wood is that it is far more resonant, and thus has far better tone than a laminate guitar. In addition, many solid tonewoods (particularly spruce) improves over time as the wood dries out and becomes even more resonant.

There is mounted a maple neck on the ST-9012 with a Richlite fingerboard. Richlite is a type of composite wood that Santana has developed to avoid the use of endangered species of wood. It delivers the same tonal qualities such as rosewood, which is one of the preferred woods for fingerboards.

The microphone system

Santana ST-9012 is equipped with Santanas own microphone system, MG30.The MG30 system contains, in addition to a 3-band tone control, also a built-in tuning device, so you can tune the guitar perfectly without any external devices and a piezo pickup under the saddle.

We wish you a lot of fun with your Santana ST-9012 EQ HG for many years to come!
