Full-size classical guitar with cutaway and built-in preamp

El Clasico 80CE is a full-size classical concert guitar with a standard string length of 650 mm. The fingerboard is 52 mm wide with a thickness at the thinnest point of 21 mm and 24 mm at the thickest point. Model 80CE is built with a body of Sapele and Canadian cedar. The neck is made of exquisite African mahogany. This combination of solid Canadian cedar on the deck and sapele on the bottom and sides, gives the guitar a present sound with a pleasant volume. And, it has a slight softness in the tone.
El Clásico 80CE is delivered including a guitar case.

Model 80CE belongs to Santana’s El Clasico guitar series. This series offers a range of high-quality guitars from guitars appropriate for the beginners to guitars aimed at the experienced guitarist. El Clasico 80CE is an obvious choice of classical guitar for the experienced guitarist, who will not compromise on either sound or quality.

El Clásico 80CE has edge bindings made of East Indian rosewood, which gives the guitar an even more exclusive look.

Cutaway and built-inn preamp system

This guitar is built with a cutaway, giving you easier access to the high bands. In addition, you get the pleasure of a built-in preamp system.
This preamp system is made by Fishman. The system consists of a microphone, which is placed under the chair on the guitar, and a preamplifier, which is mounted in the side. For the El Clasico 80CE, Santana has chosen the professional Clásica III system. The Clásica III delivers a naturally realistic amplified sound that is also quiet. On the preamplifier you have the option to adjust the sound via bass, midrange and treble controls as well as a phase inverter and a volume knob. In addition, the preamplifier has a built-in tuner so you can tune very easy.

Why solid top?

The reason we have used an expensive solution with the solid top is that the guitar will only get better with time and as you play it. The solid wood will dry out more over time. The vibrations from your use of the guitar will also cause the structure of the wood to change. Both parts mean that vibrations get more free running in the wood. That means that the guitar’s sound will become more resonant and get more and clearer sound in the bass register. The more you play – the better the sound. So, play a lot!
